Morning arrival in Nairobi after Christie & I met in the Amsterdam airport. Wonderful reunion with Kate!
We rented rooms in a private home in Karen, a suburb of Nairobi. It was lovely.
We immediately sat down to coffee in the living room. The woman who owns the house, Julie Church, started a recycle-flip-flop project. One of her mirrors is hanging on the wall.
The grounds were lovely and peaceful for walking.
We took a walk through the neighborhood with one of the house staff. This is what the neighborhood looked like -- very rural!
We waited on the streetcorner while our escort ran off with local security to try to find a guy who had been following us.
